High Summer Floral Workshop at Audley Farm in Berryville, VA

Explore | Learn | Create

Explore the best of locally grown summer flowers from the Beaumont House garden and neighboring flower growers.  During this half-day floral workshop at Audley Farm in Berryville, VA, you and your new flower friends will come together to create lush high summer floral centerpieces.  Your creations will then become part of the tablescape as we enjoy a beautifully styled lunch in the Audley House center hall.

With a rich tapestry of locally sourced flowers to work with, you will learn how to create a beautiful centerpiece in any season.  Krysta Norman of Norman Photo & Paper will be documenting the workshop from start to finish.  Krysta will spend time with each participant, photographing you and your creation for your portfolio.  In addition, Krysta will share some tips & tricks on how to take great smart phone photos.

The Day's Schedule

Arrive at Audley Farm, via the half mile long driveway, by 9:00am for coffee, tea and light snacks.  Meet and mingle with your new flowers friends and explore the house.  We will then spend time talking about the local flowers selected just for this workshop.  After that, we will dive into the mechanics of building a stunning centerpiece and then you will start on your creation.

Throughout the morning, Julie Abrera will spend time with each participant, giving advice and sharing techniques.  As centerpieces are completed, Krysta will take individual photos of you with your masterpiece.  We will then talk about styling the luncheon table in the center hall where we will enjoy a leisurely lunch.
