2019 In the Studio Floral Experience - From the Fall Garden, Sunday, September 15

2019 In the Studio Floral Experience - From the Fall Garden, Sunday, September 15

The early fall garden is filled with design inspiration. Join me for an afternoon of creating magnificent florals in the Beaumont House Design studio.

I’ll be sharing my techniques, developed over my years as an event floral designer, for stunning centerpieces and talking about the bounty of the fall garden. With an emphasis on locally grown flowers, you will leave inspired to create.

The afternoon will begin with a tour of the Beaumont House studio and then move into an overview of caring for cut flowers and how to select flowers for a centerpiece. After a centerpiece demonstration, you will then create your own organic inspired centerpiece.

We will then create a floral installation in the restored early 19th century log cabin at Beaumont House.

Throughout the afternoon, international wedding and lifestyle photographer Victoria Heer from Victoria Heer Photography will be recording your floral journey. She will document our creations and spend time with each person to capture the perfect headshot.

Whether you are starting your floral journey or wanting to expand your knowledge of flowers, this workshop is for you. Beaumont House Design floral workshops are intentionally small to ensure personalized attention. The In Studio Floral Experience workshops are limited to twelve people.

The Afternoon Schedule

Arrive at Beaumont House Design at 1:00pm. Meet and mingle with your new flowers friends in the Beaumont House Design studio. We will then spend time talking about the local flowers selected just for this workshop.  After that, we will dive into the mechanics of building a stunning centerpiece and then you will start on your creation.

Throughout the afternoon, Julie Abrera will spend time with each participant, giving advice and sharing techniques.  As centerpieces are completed, Victoria will take individual photos of you with your masterpiece.

We will then create a beautiful floral installation inside the circa 1830 log cabin at Beaumont House. This installation will be a celebration of fall flowers at their peak.
